So far Apple was sharing 60% of revenue for their iAd program with developers. It was among the most surprising thing as the revenue sharing was 70% for other applications. However now Apple took the step and they decided to share 70% revenue from now onwards instead of 60%. It is reasonable because developers have to work hard to bring latest things and they also have to follow the strict terms and conditions to bring new apps.

Apple is very much interested to bring new developers as well as advertisers for their iAd program. They also took one more decision the other day to bring down the buy-in for advertisers which is $100,000 currently. This 10% increase can be very useful for developers and they can become more interested in Apple’s iAd program.

It is important to discuss here that iAd service of Apple has struggled a lot after the launch in 2010. Some reports are also coming that Apple can do some more changes in future to generate the interest of developers as well as advertisers. Now advertisers can spend $100,000 to start mobile promotions. Apple is fully hopeful that the change of revenue can boost the self-confidence of developers to work through iAd programs and to bring some exclusive things. Apple was considering to bring this change from February however the change happened just now and it is a good move by the fruit company. They have formally accepted the related letter on Sunday.
